A Tiny Lab
Updated: Aug 20, 2021
With the first day of spring only a little over a month away (!) we are getting excited to start thinking about our outdoor play space. Over the last 4 years our ‘north playspace’, primarily used by our Preschoolers, has been somewhat of an experiment – we have yet to figure out a way to configure the space that is conducive to the high traffic of the kids – ground cover, plantings, our ‘mud hill’ and lack of climbing space are all challenges that we are looking forward to taking on this year! We are eager to make our outdoor playspace a true ‘outdoor classroom’.
This year we have applied for the CUA ‘Community Investment Grant’ and have our fingers crossed that we may receive some funding to put towards our outdoor playspace! Our plan for 2018 is new ground cover, outdoor storage for materials and loose parts, outdoor permanent easels, and we are determined to find plantings that can withstand the wrath of 24 preschoolers! On our wish list these dream blocks a water pump and an old rowboat
Wish us luck!
